Jesus said, “My yoke is easy and my burden is light” (Matt 11:30). He has not given us boots of lead. Some people carry their faith about like a heavy burden, their knees buckling and their backs breaking under their scrupulous efforts to try to please God. Faith is meant to lift us up: “They will soar on wings like eagles” (Isa 40:31). REINHARD BONNKE
